Team Up Help – Generate Match Screen
When you go to the Generate Match screen, Team Up examines hundreds or even thousands of potential matches and shows the best one it can find according to the criteria you specify on the Edit Configuration screen. You reach the Generate Match screen from Manage Event.
The Generate Match screen displays the match or matches that it found. The screen has these options:
Cancel: Exit the screen without activating the matches.
Accept: Exit the screen and activate the displayed matches. The matches will become active games on the Manage Event screen.
Sometimes, Team Up finds more than one match or group of matches that best meets the specified criteria. In that case, Team Up mixes them up randomly and displays the first one. You can examine them by using the Previous and Next buttons.
Time needed to find best match: Usually, Team Up can find the best match or set of matches very quickly. But in some situations, the app will try to examine a huge number of possible matches. In this case, it might take a long time for Team Up to display the results. If it is taking too long, you can click the Cancel button to tell Team Up to stop looking (and no matches will be displayed). In this case, you can change the “Throttle” value on the Settings screen to tell Team Up to examine fewer possible matches.
Three Vertical Dots: If you click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner, you will get these menu options:
- Display Log: Shows the Session Log screen.
- Help: Displays this web-based help page.
