Team Up Help – Edit Player Screen
The Edit Player screen is for adding new players and modifying the information of existing players. You can reach this screen in these ways:
- On the Players screen, click the plus sign in the lower right corner to add a new player.
- On the Players screen, click on an existing player to edit that player’s information.
- On the Players screen, long-click on an existing player and select the Edit option to edit that player’s information.
- On the Edit Event screen, click the New Player menu item in the top right corner to add a new player.
The screen has these fields:
- First: The first name of the player.
- Last: The last name of the player. Currently, the first and last names aren’t used anywhere else in Team Up except on this screen, but they are mandatory.
- ID: This is the player’s ID. It can be an arbitrary string of letters, numbers and even symbols (like $). It must be unique in the system — two players cannot have the same ID. A player’s ID is used on all other screens of Team Up when a player needs to be identified.
- An ID cannot begin or end with spaces, but it can have spaces in the middle.
- After you type in the player’s first and last names, Team Up will create a default ID from the two names, but you can change that ID.
- Email: Optional email address of player. If the email address is specified, you will be given the option to email that player the results of the event by using the “Email Results” menu option on the Start New Event screen.
- Male/Female: This field is used for co-ed events.
Buttons: The Edit Player screen has two buttons:
- Cancel: Click Cancel to exit the Edit Player screen without saving your changes.
- Save: Saves your changes and exits the Edit Player screen.
Three Vertical Dots: If you click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner, you will get these menu options:
- Display Log: Shows the Session Log screen.
- Help: Displays this web-based help page.
